What does this ARC Raiders calculator do?

It expands any craft list down to base materials. All 143 craftable items are covered, and the 17 refined materials that are themselves craftable get expanded recursively into what you actually farm.

How is this different from the crafting recipes browser?

The recipes browser shows each item's direct inputs. This calculator aggregates your whole craft list and recursively expands intermediates — answering "how much do I need to farm in total" instead of "what does this one recipe take".

Does the calculator account for crafting output quantities?

The catalog records one output per craft, so totals assume one item per craft. If the game grants multiples for a recipe, the list slightly overestimates — the safe direction for a farming checklist.
